Sara Rajaei is an Iranian-Dutch video artist and filmmaker based in the Netherlands.

Her work delves into the notion of time, examining the absence of imagery, the psychology of memory, oral history, narrative techniques, and the interplay of physical and psychological space.
After graduating from the Royal Academy of Art The Hague in 2002, Rajaei attended a two-year residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten Amsterdam.

In 2009, she was awarded Prix de Rome basic prize. Her short film, City of Poets, has received numerous awards, including the Golden Calf for Best Short Documentary at the Nederlands Film Festival.

Her work has been exhibited and screened at various art venues and festivals worldwide, including de Appel Arts Center, Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin, Hong Kong International Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Art Brussels, Kunsthall 3.14 Bergen, World Museum Amsterdam, and many more.
